Traveling with Pets

At our company, we understand how important pets are to you and your loved ones. For this reason, we strive to extend our services so they can accompany you on your trips. Customers may travel with their pets as long as they comply with the policies established by the organization.

Pets may only travel on “Petfriendly” departures (identified with the logo). These departures are offered only on certain routes and schedules, and without exception you must sign the corresponding liability waiver that releases the company from any responsibility regarding the pet’s well-being. Pets On Board Passenger Cabin Policies

Passengers may bring pets in the passenger cabin: only dogs and cats are allowed, provided they meet the following requirements:

  1. Pets must travel inside a rigid or semi-rigid carrier (Kennel type) that meets the following specifications:

    • The maximum weight of the pet must be 15 kg (including the carrier). Maximum carrier dimensions: 71 cm long x 52 cm wide x 54 cm high. Only one pet per carrier is allowed. The carrier must provide enough space for the pet to stand, move, and turn naturally without touching the walls. Note: If the weight exceeds 15 kg, the pet WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TRAVEL.

    • The carrier must provide enough space for the pet to stand, move, and turn naturally without touching the walls. Emotional support animals or animals assisting with visual or physical disabilities may travel without a carrier.

  2. A vaccination record must be presented with a complete vaccination schedule according to the pet’s age, specifying the date of the rabies vaccine and its validity. It is not necessary for the pet to travel sedated (consult your veterinarian).

  3. Only one pet per passenger is allowed, limited to 2 pets per bus identified with the logo or subject to availability.

  4. The passenger must carry a cleaning kit consisting of: diaper or absorbent pad, cloth, and waste bags. The owner is responsible for completely cleaning any waste produced by their pet.

  5. The company will transport brachycephalic domestic animals in the passenger cabin provided they meet the required dimensions, weight, and documentation. In all cases, the passenger must sign the corresponding liability waiver stating that the pet travels under the passenger’s full responsibility due to the possibility of developing respiratory syndrome typical of these breeds.

  6. Dogs considered dangerous breeds will not be allowed to travel in the passenger cabin: Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Tosa Inu, and Akita Inu. Depending on their physical build, musculature, height, and weight, they may also be restricted. They will only be transported as checked pets in the luggage compartment.

  7. The established fee must be paid for transporting the pet depending on the season: Low season 75% of the seat price; High season 100% of the seat price, both based on the adult fare.

  8. In all cases, the corresponding liability waiver must be completed in order to transport the pet.

Checked Pets

Pets may be transported in the luggage compartment of single-deck units at no additional cost if the following requirements are met:

  1. Pets must travel inside a rigid kennel-type carrier that meets the following specifications:

    • The maximum weight of the pet must be 32 kg (including the carrier). Maximum carrier dimensions: 128 cm long x 45 cm wide x 65 cm high. Only one pet per carrier is allowed.

    • The carrier must provide enough space for the pet to stand, move, and turn naturally without touching the walls.

    • No accessories or items may be inside the carrier (toys, treats, snacks, or other objects made with ruminant ingredients). Otherwise, they will be removed and destroyed.

  2. For dogs and cats, a vaccination record with a complete schedule according to the pet’s age must be presented, including the rabies vaccination date and its validity. Sedation is not required (consult your veterinarian).

  3. Dogs and cats must be at least eight weeks old at the time of travel and must not require their mother for feeding. At the time of travel, the pet must not show signs of infectious diseases or have recent wounds or healing injuries.

  4. The company will not transport pets in the luggage compartment of double-deck buses to protect the animal’s life due to the risk of respiratory syndrome or other health issues.

  5. In cases where the pet travels as checked baggage, the passenger must complete the corresponding liability waiver stating that the pet travels entirely under the passenger’s responsibility, excluding the company from any responsibility for the pet’s health or life.

Support Animals

People with physical, visual, auditory, mental, or intellectual disabilities have the right to travel with a service animal at no additional charge. Service animals will be accepted in the passenger cabin with the person with a disability at no extra cost, provided the following requirements are met:

Emotional Support Animals

Emotional support animals must meet all the requirements established for pets traveling on board.

  1. Present a document issued before the trip by the treating physician (psychiatrist or psychologist) or institution confirming the need for an emotional support animal. It must be presented in original form, signed and stamped by the specialist or institution.

  2. Emotional support animals must wear a leash, harness, and identification tag.

  3. The weight limit for transporting an emotional support animal is 12 kilograms.

  4. If any of these requirements are not met, the emotional support animal will be transported as a regular pet in the bus luggage compartment under the checked pet policies.

Visual Support Animals

The company allows passengers with visual disabilities and/or reduced mobility to travel accompanied by a service animal at no cost, provided the following policies are met:

  1. Present documentation verifying the service animal status:

    • Service Animal identification issued by an authority in animal health or a recognized organization.

    • Document from the passenger’s physician or health institution confirming that the passenger with a disability or reduced mobility requires a service animal for mobility or assistance.

  2. Dogs must wear a collar and leash or harness at all times.

  3. Visual support dogs should preferably use the designated spaces in the cabin (Seats 1, 2, and 3 in single-deck units; lower-level seats in double-deck units). Passengers with visual support animals will have boarding priority before other passengers.

  4. Vaccination record with a complete schedule according to the pet’s age, specifying the rabies vaccination date and validity.
